Every year, we find that there are different home interior paint colors that trend among our customers. This year, more and more people are requesting color combinations to spruce up their designs and add interest to their walls. Most of these designs start with a neutral color, such as gray, tan, or brown. Then, they add a different color to make the perfect combination. Check out some of these popular paint combinations that are trending this year.

High Contrast

After starting with a neutral color on the walls, many homeowners add a bright color for contrast throughout the room. They may even choose to have one color start at the top of the wall. Then, about half way down the wall, the paint will change to the second color for the rest of the wall, orhave an accent wall using the bold color. Some of the combinations that work well for this contrast include gray and turquoise, chocolate brown and deep orange, or light yellow and jungle green.

Bold Detailing

Horizontal borders along the top or bottom are trending this year. Start with a neutral tone again,\then choose a bold color for the border. Some of the popular options for borders include gold, coral, hot pink, and sapphire. For homeowners that don't like the idea of a border, they can bring detailing into the design in other ways. They may consider outlining a particular wall or special feature in their home instead.

Ombre

Ombre isn't just a popular hair style;it's also a trending design for homes. Choose two colors to blend on the wall using a blurred boundary between them. One color starts at the top of the wall. Then, about half way down the wall, the paint will change to the second color for the rest of the wall. Some of the popular options this year are orange and light purple or natural greens and blues.

With these home interior paint combinations in mind, we work to create the perfect design for each of our clients. Many of them have colors in mind that they want in their homes. Others may have some ideas, but they need to consider other color options to determine which ones will create the perfect combination for their home.
